National Novel Writing Month

Here I sit, on Halloween Day, gathering the strength to try something new. Tomorrow, I will surrender to the writing practices of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and begin my 30-day journey of non-stop writing until a 50,000 word novel funnels through my tired fingertips.

Am I up for the challenge? I hope so!

I've been mentally checking off items from my list:

Book genre - check!
Protagonist's name - check!
Setting - check!
A (very loose) plot - check!
Other main characters - working on that
Antagonist - working on that
Secondary characters - working on that

I promised my self a month ago that I would not cheat by starting the story early. It is safe to say, that on October 31, I have kept this promise!

I'll spend some more time today going over characters, ideas for descriptions, details on setting and the plot so that tomorrow, I can get my busy little fingers typing away as fast as they can move (without developing cramps).

I'll chart my progress on here (when I can take small breaks) and let you know how I'm doing. If I find any good survival tips for NaNoWriMo, I'll definitely share them. Check out my Twitter feed, as I'll post updates and useful information that comes my way.

Wish me luck!

Until next time ~
